The faculty of Biology in the Department of Microbiology at the LMU, Munich has an open position for postdoctoral research in Molecular Microbiology.
Project Information
The sulfate-reducing bacteria, or Desulfovibrio spp., are vital to both ecosystem and human health. The molecular processes behind their pathogenicity and physiology remain largely unknown, despite their significance. Using multi-omics techniques including transcriptomics and proteomics, we will examine these bacteria’s chemotactic and signalling capacities in this study. This research aims to identify the important actors involved in the perception and reaction to environmental concerns.
Qualifications
Candidates with a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or biophysics should possess a strong sense of motivation and determination. Candidates must be extremely motivated to work with obligatory anaerobic microorganisms.
Requirements
Applicants should have a strong interest in working with obligate anaerobic bacteria.
Deadline and Application
The deadline for the application is on 22 August 2024. For more details and application, visit the official website.
