Project Information
As a PhD candidate, you will be part of a multidisciplinary study that brings together knowledge from several disciplines with the goal of enhancing the lives of those who require organ replacement. Therefore, demonstrating a willingness to see beyond disciplinary borders is crucial.
The NXTGEN Biomed growth fund initiative on artificial organs is providing funding for the study.
The goal of NXTGEN is to create intelligent, responsive extracorporeal and implantable artificial organs. It does this by developing cutting-edge, high-tech building blocks that are both dependable and reasonably priced.
Qualifications
- You are a very driven and passionate researcher.
- You currently hold or will soon hold a master’s degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a similar discipline. It is desirable if you have knowledge or experience with membrane science and technology.
- You have outstanding communication and analytical abilities, as well as a creative mentality.
- You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary, globally focused setting and have a strong sense of teamwork.
- You speak English well.
