Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Biological Chemistry and Nanotechnology – King’s College, London

Open position for postdoctoral fellowship in biological chemistry and nanotechnology in King’s College, London.

Project Information

The McTernan Group wants to use the latest developments in metal-organic capsules and artificial molecular machines in contexts that are relevant to biology. In order to synthesize functional structures, de novo catalytic enzyme analogs, artificial cellular receptors, and tailored drug delivery vehicles, we work with rotaxanes, catenanes, and capsules. We work with translational applications as well as basic science.

The chosen applicant for this 24-month position will be in charge of our chemical biology research program, which will include planning and carrying out experiments, communicating with the Francis Crick Institute’s top STPs, creating and implementing assays, mentoring junior researchers, and communicating with CROs. Working closely with chemists across our research portfolio, they will lead the effort to test the biological activity of the many therapeutic compounds developed in our lab and assist in guiding their successful optimization.
