Postdoctoral Position in Genomics and Bioinformatics – Aarhus University

Project Information

  • Under the guidance of Group Leader Taro Kitazawa, you will be working on the study on the transcriptional and epigenetic foundations of neuroplasticity.
  • Advanced genomics methods such as ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, HiC, DamID, and bulk and single-cell RNA-seq will be used. You will also be involved in the creation of new genomics technologies.
    You will analyze these data using bioinformatics.
  • These tasks will be closely coordinated with those of other lab members who study behavior, electrophysiology, and in vivo mouse circuits.
  • You will have the chance to improve your networking, grant writing, and scientific communication abilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must: Experience in genomics experiments and/or bioinformatics analysis.
  • Desirable: Experience in single-cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, CUT&Tag, HiC, or DamID.
  • Desirable: Experience in bioinformatics analysis of short reads.
  • Desirable: Experience in publication. 
  • Advantage: Experience in neurobiology, and mouse genetics.
  • Advantage: Experience in machine learning.
