Within the Horizon Europe – Mission Cancer initiative, a partnership called SPACETIME (SPatial Analysis of Cancer Evolution in the Tumour Immune MicroEnvironment) brings together leading academic institutions, research centres, and patient organizations from around Europe. Their shared goal is to improve the basic understanding of lung cancer by multidisciplinary cooperation, creativity, and quality. The goal of the study is to comprehend how the tumour, from its beginning and premalignant phases to its malignancy and invasiveness, changes in tandem with the patient’s immune responses. Their ultimate goal is to provide lung cancer patients with more treatment alternatives.

Essential Qualifications

  1. A master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (biomedical sciences, biotechnology, etc.);
  2. A readiness to collaborate with animal models (ownership and prior expertise are advantages under Article 9);
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  4. An advantage is having actual laboratory expertise with single cell technologies such as flow cytometry, molecular biology, or cell culture.
  5. Ability to work in an international team and adhere with strict deadlines.
