Sartorius is hiring a process technology engineer for their research and development stream in Bengaluru, India.
Job Information
In compliance with the goals established and the regulatory environment that applies to the products, the process engineer will be in charge of planning and monitoring the life cycle of both standard and customized multi-use and single-use systems upon internal or customer request.
Responsibilities
- In every stage of the project, the process engineer will assess the customer’s requirements for viability and profitability.
- Concentrate on creating system and process solutions for upstream and downstream processing.
- Provide internal and external stakeholders with technical advice.
- Develop technological solutions in close collaboration with sales and customers.
- Choosing equipment for fermentation, bioreactors, TFF, file lines, etc. is your responsibility. This includes choosing ATEX and IECeX equipment.
- Leading HAZOP and PHA assessments and examining every facet of design and construction for uniformity and safety.
- Calculate expenses and perform project profitability checks.
- Throughout the engineering project phases, create PIDs, PFDs, and other design documentation.
- Provide assistance and guidance on Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for multicultural teams working on international initiatives.
- Collaborating closely with design engineers and project managers.
Qualification & Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, chemical, or similar engineering
- 5-8 years of prior experience in process engineering, preferably in chromatography, crossflow systems, fermenters, and bioreactors in the biotechnology sector.
- It would be beneficial to comprehend both upstream and downstream processes.
- Proficiency in collaborating with clients and sales representatives to develop price quotes.
- Proficiency in process and utility design, including PFD, P&ID, and equipment size calculations.
