To join the Enterprise Data RunOps Team, Amgen is looking for a qualified Data Engineer. The construction, maintenance, and improvement of data pipelines and operational procedures that support our enterprise data teams and facilitate smooth data access, integration, and governance throughout the company will be the main responsibilities of this position. A hands-on engineer with a thorough understanding of contemporary data architectures, solid experience with cloud-native technologies, and a drive to provide dependable, well-managed, and high-performing data infrastructure in a regulated biotech setting will be the ideal candidate.
Job Details
- Within corporate data engineering, create, construct, and maintain pipelines for data intake, transformation, and delivery from both structured and unstructured sources.
- Oversee and keep an eye on the data engineering environment’s daily activities to guarantee data integrity, performance, and high availability.
- Support data integration use cases across R&D, clinical, regulatory, and commercial functions by working together with platform engineering, data architects, data governance, and business teams.
- Add information to enterprise data repositories from third-party data sources, clinical platforms, laboratory systems, and regulatory systems.
- To satisfy governance and compliance needs, implement and manage metadata collection, data lineage, and data quality checks throughout pipelines.
- Utilize technologies like Databricks, Kafka, Delta Lake, or comparable ones to support both batch and real-time data flows.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree and 3 to 4 + years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 8 + years of Computer Science, IT or related field experience.
- AWS Certified Data Engineer preferred.
- Databricks Certificate preferred.
- Scaled Agile SAFe certification preferred.
