The Unified Experience Agentic Platform Product Manager role at Eli Lilly and Company is now open in Bangalore, India, within Lilly’s global Information Technology. This position sits at the intersection of digital product strategy and enterprise AI, giving the successful Unified Experience Agentic Platform Product Manager ownership of how agentic, AI-driven workflows come together into a single, coherent experience for Lilly’s internal teams and digital ecosystem.

About the Unified Experience Agentic Platform Product Manager Role

Lilly is in the middle of an enterprise-wide agentic transformation, and the Unified Experience Agentic Platform Product Manager is central to that push. Lilly’s Software Product Engineering group has built an internal AI foundation, sometimes referred to internally as the Cortex platform, that powers intelligent agents, models, and AI-enabled workflows used by thousands of developers and business teams across the company. This Bangalore-based role focuses specifically on the “Unified Experience” layer: taking the raw capability of Lilly’s agentic platform and turning it into a consistent, human-centered product experience across digital touchpoints, rather than a collection of disconnected AI features.

As the Unified Experience Agentic Platform Product Manager, you will partner closely with engineering, design, data science, and business stakeholders to define how agentic workflows are surfaced to end users, how they are governed, and how they scale reliably across a regulated healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  1. Co-create and own the roadmap for the unified, agentic experience layer, translating platform capability (tool use, multi-step reasoning, orchestration) into product features that solve real user problems.
  2. Prioritize investments based on business impact, technical feasibility, and adoption, ensuring the roadmap balances near-term needs against long-term platform architecture.
  3. Author clear product requirements documents and align cross-functional teams around a shared vision for the agentic experience.

User Experience and Design

  1. Partner with design and research teams to ensure agentic interactions are intuitive, trustworthy, and accessible, so users engage confidently with AI-driven recommendations and automated workflows.
  2. Champion continuous discovery, usability testing, feedback loops, and data-driven iteration — to refine how agent capabilities are presented across the unified experience.

Technical Collaboration and Governance

  1. Work directly with engineers to understand platform tradeoffs, including model integrations, MCP tooling, authentication, and enterprise-grade reliability requirements.
  2. Guide decisions on build-vs-buy across model providers, orchestration frameworks, and third-party AI tooling.
  3. Ensure every agentic capability meets Lilly’s standards for governance, auditability, and compliance in a regulated life sciences environment.

Stakeholder Engagement

  1. Act as the primary product partner to business and technology stakeholders across Lilly’s Bangalore and global technology hubs, translating strategic goals into an actionable agentic-experience roadmap.
  2. Represent the platform’s product vision in reviews with senior technology and business leadership.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  2. Several years of product management experience, including hands-on ownership of digital or platform products at scale.
  3. Working knowledge of modern AI concepts, LLMs, tool/function calling, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic orchestration patterns.
  4. Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical capability into a clear, user-centered product experience.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing product requirements documents and stakeholder-facing materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience building or managing AI/agentic platforms, or leading modular, reusable component architecture across a product portfolio.
  2. Familiarity with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable agent-tooling standards.
  3. Prior experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
  4. Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) is a plus but not required.
  5. Comfort operating with ambiguity and a bias toward iterative, data-informed delivery.
