Role Information
Eli Lilly and Company is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join their Information Technology team in Hyderabad. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across their technology solutions and systems. As a Quality Engineer, you will develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, identify defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, reliable software solutions that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for software applications.
- Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms and environments.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and quality issues.
- Conduct regression testing and ensure defect resolution compliance.
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement quality assurance processes and best practices.
- Establish quality metrics and KPIs to monitor software performance.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Document testing procedures and maintain quality documentation standards.
Automation & Tools
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
- Evaluate and implement quality assurance tools and technologies.
- Create reusable test components and libraries.
- Optimize testing processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements.
- Provide timely quality reports and insights to stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Train and mentor junior QA team members on testing methodologies.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and quality standards (ISO, FDA, etc.).
- Conduct risk-based testing and validation for healthcare software applications.
- Maintain audit trails and documentation for compliance purposes.
- Stay updated with industry standards and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance or software testing.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and best practices.
- Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar).
- Experience with SQL and database testing.
- Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB or similar QA certification.
- Experience with healthcare or pharmaceutical software systems.
- Knowledge of API testing and web services testing.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with mobile application testing.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards (WCAG, Section 508).
