Role Overview

Working in regulatory affairs within the animal health sector means you are at the direct forefront of bringing innovative veterinary products, vaccines, and pharmaceuticals safely to the global market. MSD is currently seeking a highly skilled individual to join and lead their dedicated regulatory team, ensuring all upcoming product pipelines comply fully with local and international guidelines.

Responsibilities

1. Leading and managing the specialized Animal Health Regulatory Affairs team to ensure timely product registrations and strategic lifecycle management.

2. Reviewing, drafting, and executing complex project plans for new veterinary biological and pharmaceutical products.

3. Liaising closely with cross-functional matrix teams, including R&D, commercial business units, and external Contract Research Organizations (CROs).

4. Overseeing organizational adherence to local laws, national pharmacovigilance tracking, and strict statutory reporting guidelines.

5. Mentoring, coaching, and developing internal team capabilities to optimize the unit’s overall scientific quality of work.

Requirements and Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 to 7 years of direct, relevant experience in a regulated healthcare or veterinary pharmaceutical industry.

2. A strong educational background (BSc, MSc, or PhD) in Biological Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, or a related scientific field.

3. Proven expertise in dealing with regulatory bodies such as the UK Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) or equivalent international authorities.

4. Exceptional leadership, negotiation, cross-team coordination, and strategic thinking abilities within a multicultural matrix environment.
