Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Commercial Product Manager, Centrifuge to drive customer adoption, demand generation and portfolio growth for its centrifuge products across Southeast Asia. The position combines product management, technical sales, market development and commercial strategy, making it relevant for professionals with experience in laboratory equipment, scientific instrumentation or life sciences.
The role involves close collaboration with country sales teams, distributors, customers, marketing, technical support, service teams and business-unit stakeholders. The position also requires substantial travel across the assigned Southeast Asian territory.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing go-to-market strategies for the assigned centrifuge portfolio and identifying opportunities to increase market penetration and revenue.
The role requires an understanding of laboratory workflows, customer applications, purchasing processes, competitive positioning and market dynamics.
Thermo Fisher’s centrifuge portfolio spans applications ranging from molecular biology and cell culture to clinical diagnostics, blood banking and bioprocessing. Its portfolio includes benchtop, refrigerated, ultracentrifuge, blood-banking, and bioprocessing systems.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Product Management
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for the assigned centrifuge portfolio.
- Identify market opportunities and customer growth segments across Southeast Asia.
- Analyze customer workflows, applications, purchasing processes and market requirements.
- Support portfolio growth, product launches and lifecycle-management initiatives.
- Recommend portfolio, pricing, promotional and channel strategies.
Sales & Business Development
- Work closely with country sales teams to build qualified sales pipelines.
- Support strategic-account development and opportunity conversion.
- Improve pipeline quality, forecast accuracy and pricing effectiveness.
- Support tenders, workflow solutions and new-product adoption.
- Participate in customer visits, demonstrations, seminars and industry events.
Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor competitors, market trends, pricing and product positioning.
- Conduct customer and market analysis to identify commercial opportunities.
- Translate market intelligence into actionable portfolio and sales strategies.
- Identify gaps in product positioning, customer experience, and commercial execution.

Requirements
Candidates should typically have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of technical sales experience in scientific instrumentation, laboratory products or the life sciences industry.
- Strong understanding of laboratory products, applications and workflows.
- Experience in product management, technical sales or commercial marketing.
- Strong customer engagement and market-development capabilities.
- Knowledge of market analysis, customer segmentation and competitor analysis.
- Experience with pipeline development, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing or opportunity conversion.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience with product demonstrations, training, tenders or industry events.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft Office/analytics tools.
- Strong project-management and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to work independently within a matrix organization.
- Strong English communication skills.
